Explaining How the Solar Photovoltaic Energy Work

The energy from the sun gets converted into energy through the solar photovoltaic cells in the solar panels. After installation, the PV cells convert the sun’s energy into DC or direct current. An AC or alternating current is also produced when the DC is converted through the inverter connected to the system.

In using solar panels, electricity is generated by creating an electric field, which happens when there is an interaction between opposite charges. When the cells receive sunlight, the movement of atoms causes the electrons to be released. DC is produced upon the interaction of electrons emitted from the solar cell and the protons released from the sun. The electricity will then travel through wires and can already be used in providing power to your house.
